Philosophy and Mission Statement

The philosophy of the Port Washington Pre-Kindergarten program is to build on the understanding that early childhood education is the foundation for all future learning.  

It is our mission to provide planned learning experiences that will nurture positive self-images, social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills needed for success in school and everyday life. We use the students' natural enthusiasm and excitement to promote lifelong learning. Each child’s individual potential will be recognized and nurtured through a rich learning environment. Through a variety of educational experiences, students are encouraged to work together as a community of learners and to explore the world around them.
